Affiliate marketing has gained massive popularity over the last decade, and that’s not changing anytime soon. The concept of sharing revenue with someone who’s willing to help promote your product or service is so enticing that it’s attracted brands, retailers, and affiliate marketers alike to set up affiliate programs in droves. As the number of affiliate programs increases, the need to know which ones are the best has also grown considerably. With that in mind, let’s take a look at what we think will be the top 10 affiliate programs in 2022...
1 - Amazon
Amazon is a big deal in affiliate marketing. The sheer size of Amazon alone makes it a great opportunity for affiliates. Anybody who sells products online can sign up to be an Amazon Associate, which gets you access to many tools and data that you can use to track your performance and make adjustments on your campaigns if necessary. They’re a little behind their competitors in adapting new technology, but they are still very much an active player in affiliate marketing by being able to network with other programs easily using their site or app, due mostly in part to Amazon’s rich history as an online retailer. Their ease of networking with fellow affiliate programs could help them take top spot once more in 2022. #2 - Walmart: Walmart may not have been number one when we wrote our list last year, but they’ve made a strong push into affiliate marketing over the past year or so. With their large market share and influence over consumers, Walmart has created an affiliate program that rivals even Amazon in terms of volume. There are plenty of opportunities to earn money through different aspects of Walmart’s business, from grocery shopping to clothing sales. If there is something people need—or think they need—Walmart will likely have it at a competitive price point.
2 - ClickBank
ClickBank is an affiliate program that has long been a staple in many affiliate marketers' toolbox. ClickBank offers thousands of products that affiliates can promote to their audience and earn commission on sales they generate. Customers who purchase through affiliates are referred to as affiliates and are typically sent links that include tracking details so you can see what you've generated in sales over time. ClickBank puts a lot of effort into detecting fraud so affiliates know they'll get paid even if it turns out there was no real conversion. It's also easy for customers to use one-click tools like PayPal when paying for products sold by affiliates, which is why you'll often see Buy now with 1-Click links from merchants on your ClickBank account. This makes it simple for affiliates to collect payments without needing multiple merchant accounts or dealing with credit card processing fees. As you might expect, ClickBank has strict policies about what types of content affiliates can advertise using its platform. Most affiliate programs will not allow you to sell anything that promotes illegal activity or hate speech (as defined by local law). Be sure to check before applying! The full list of prohibited items is available here . If you're promoting a product or service outside of those categories but still want to participate in affiliate marketing, you'll need an alternative payment method such as Payoneer . One way around these restrictions is to join multiple affiliate programs and direct your audience toward specific products within each individual program instead of sending them all back to your own site.
3 - eBay
EBay was one of the first programs to offer affiliate marketing, and it’s still a great option. They have a large selection of products, but in order to be an eBay affiliate you must apply for their program; you can't simply advertise on eBay if you haven't been accepted into their program. If you're serious about making money as an eBay affiliate then you'll need at least $100 per month in sales volume. But once your account is approved (usually within 24 hours) then there are tools which will help with conversions, including some that allow members of your site to make PayPal payments directly from their eBay accounts once they've bought something from your store. #2 - Amazon: Amazon has long been one of my favorite affiliate programs because they pay a high commission rate (15%) while also having a huge product base. There are loads of different ways to promote Amazon products, including both content sites and product-specific blogs. I personally prefer promoting product-specific blogs because it allows me to recommend only things I know people want, rather than promoting anything I think might sell well based on research or wishful thinking. However, content sites have traditionally performed better so if you don't mind doing more work then I'd recommend starting out with them until you get more comfortable with affiliate marketing overall.
4 - Etsy
Etsy is a marketplace where people around the world connect, both online and offline, to make, sell and buy unique goods. These goods include fine art, furniture, jewelry, clothing, fabrics and much more. It’s been a favorite with buyers and sellers for years but has yet to be tapped by affiliate marketers because of its complex nature. But with so many ways you can market products on Etsy, there are also lots of ways you can promote it as an affiliate marketer. Check out my experience from testing Etsy as an affiliate marketer. #3 - Amazon: Amazon is another popular affiliate marketing program that takes advantage of having an existing product in order to drive sales through their affiliate program. They offer hundreds of thousands of products for sale, which means that once you have created your account, adding new items is not hard at all – especially if they are physical items. The most important aspect here is that they don't charge any fees or commissions when promoting their own products (Amazon Associates Program). In fact, they pay up to 10% commission fee if someone clicks on your link and makes a purchase within 24 hours! That's pretty awesome!
5 - Shopify
Shopify is an affiliate program that will easily make you thousands of dollars a month. It offers a free plan for those who want to get started with affiliate marketing, but will cost about $100/month for everyone else. Regardless, it's a great way to make money online! #4 - Amazon: The Amazon Associates program is a popular choice as it can be set up quickly and allows you to earn commissions on many different products. If you are just getting started with affiliate marketing, then it's one of your best options. It’s simple and easy-to-use and doesn't require much work if you already have an Amazon account set up. Just sign up for a free account and start promoting away! #3 - ClickBank: ClickBank is one of my favorite affiliate programs because they offer tons of information about how to create your own product. They also offer some pretty good training materials and tools like their Product Launch Formula course which I highly recommend checking out. Their commission rates aren't anything crazy high, but they're definitely better than most other affiliate programs out there. #2 - Commission Junction: CJ has been around since 1996 so they've got quite a bit of experience in their corner when it comes to affiliate marketing. They've also got plenty of resources available including case studies, white papers, videos, webinars and more.
6 - Google Adsense
The obvious first choice on any list of best affiliate programs would be Google Adsense. It’s been around for ages, and there are tons of businesses that live off their Adsense earnings. Signing up is free, easy and you can make a lot of money with it if you know what you’re doing. If you’re new to affiliate marketing (and new to Google Adsense), I recommend learning how to use Adsense by starting with Neil Patel’s Beginner Guide To Google Adsense . That guide will get you comfortable using Google ads and move on from there once you have some experience. #5 - Amazon Associates: Amazon has a long history of being an affiliate program, but they also do well because they're so big. There are millions of products available through Amazon, which means there's something for everyone. And if you want to promote physical products through your site or YouTube channel, you'll need an affiliate program like Amazon Associates. They pay $4 per sale which means about $1 per product sold through your link. Not bad! #4 - Commission Junction: Commission Junction used to be called LinkShare when I was getting started in affiliate marketing way back in 2006-2007.
7 - Etsy Apparel Maker
Crafts are a great product to sell through Etsy, especially handmade ones! If you have knitting or crochet skills, make adorable baby clothes and sell them on there. Or if you’re artistic, create original paintings or other art work that people can hang in their homes. Just make sure you’re willing to ship your products. #8 - Shopify: Shopify is an online store builder that makes it easy for anyone to set up an ecommerce site and start selling products. There are tons of different templates you can use for free, plus they also offer hundreds of beautiful premium themes for as little as $70 each. Shopify has over 175,000 merchants using its platform with over 40 million visitors each month! What we love about Shopify is their awesome affiliate program where they pay you up to 75% commission (50% + 25%) just for referring new customers who sign up for a 14-day free trial. Plus, they even give you an additional $10 per customer if someone becomes a paying customer within 90 days of signing up!
8 - Alibaba Product Sourcing Tool
Alibaba is one of world’s largest e-commerce company, helping businesses find a product, service or parts they need. The site hosts countless affiliate programs that connect affiliate marketers with business owners looking for additional income. If you want to learn more about Alibaba product sourcing tool and use it to make money online then visit Alibaba Product Sourcing Tool - How it works? #7 - Amazon: Amazon is one of top affiliate marketing companies in United States. It was founded by Jeff Bezos in 1994. Amazon Affiliates program allows users to earn commissions by referring sales through their links on their websites or social media accounts like Facebook, Twitter etc. This program has become very popular among affiliates because there are several products listed on Amazon which are frequently searched for and bought online by customers. So if an affiliate can get traffic from these sites, he/she can easily convert them into sales using his/her link on Amazon website.
9 - Periscope
It may have started as a Twitter spinoff, but Periscope has become its own social media platform. It allows anyone with a smartphone and Internet connection to livestream videos on Twitter. The app rose in popularity when infamous citizen journalist, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, used it frequently during her congressional campaign earlier in 2018. In 2019, people will continue using Periscope for product launches or discussions with customers or followers. As long as Periscope keeps growing at its current rate, it should be a top affiliate program by 2022. #8 - Bing: Microsoft’s search engine Bing will move up in our rankings by 2022. Its growth is mostly due to Google’s decline—Bing is currently second only to Google in worldwide market share. While Bing isn’t likely to overtake Google anytime soon, it could pass Yahoo and other smaller search engines over time. What really makes Bing stand out from other search engines is that you can use Cortana with it—Microsoft’s virtual assistant service (similar to Apple’s Siri). This makes searching easier because you can ask questions like What is Barack Obama’s height? and Cortana will give you an answer right away without having to go anywhere else on your computer or phone.
10 – SlideShare Presentations
Why settle for third-party advertising when you can take advantage of Google’s own affiliate program? If people click on your SlideShare presentation, they will be taken to another page where they can watch it and/or share it on social media. All you have to do is include links in your presentation and earn between five and 20 percent commission every time someone clicks them. What’s even better about SlideShare is that users do not need an account in order to view your presentations, which means more leads! #9 – Udemy Courses: Udemy offers its affiliates a unique opportunity to make money by recommending courses within its platform. If a user purchases a course after clicking one of your affiliate links, you will receive 50 percent of their payment—and there are no limits on how much you can earn from each sale. While there are many other platforms out there that offer similar programs, Udemy is easily one of the most popular options due to its large number of courses and students.
